Brittany Rosendaul President
Brittany is a FiGLI student pursuing both her JD and PhD in Developmental Psychology. Her research is based predominantly on child eyewitnesses and juvenile justice in Cornell's Child Witness and Cognition Lab. She is also a graduate member of the Cornell University Prison Initiative. In 2022, Brittany served as GPWomeN Treasurer, and she is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue growing alongside the GPWomeN community! In her free time, Brittany enjoys rock climbing, live music, and spending time with her friends.

Valeria Nogales Herrera Vice President
Valeria is a geological engineer from Ecuador and holds a specialization in Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Ecosystem Services Policies. She is pursuing a Master of Science in Geological Sciences at Cornell University, where she is involved in the "CUBO" project exploring deep geothermal energy resources in New York State. She has worked as a research assistant in a UK government-sponsored project, independent consultant, and geoscientist at Halliburton. Valeria also served as GPWomeN's Graduate and Professional Student Assembly Liaison in 2022.

Psyche Wanqing He Organization Liaison
Psyche is currently a third-year PhD student of Psychology, working at Cognitive Science of Language Lab. Her interests lie in understanding mechanisms behind language learning and processing via communication. In 2022, she served as an Event Planning Chair, and Psyche is excited to continue working on gathering and bridging women scientists from different fields together.

Amy is a Ph.D. student in Developmental Psychology with a concentration in Law, Psychology, and Human Development in the Department of Psychology. She is also on the track of Ph.D. Minor in Statistics (Applied Statistics) and Graduate Minor in Cognitive Science. She is currently pursuing basic and translational research in psychological science to better connect developmental and behavioral science research to outreach and extension in legal proceedings. Besides her research at Cornell, she is a licensed attorney in Taiwan specializing in criminal defenses and founded LegalChime Attorneys-at-Law. This Taiwan-based law firm focuses on psychology-law consultancy services. She was the GPWomeN Treasurer in 2020, Vice President in 2021, and President in 2022.

Shirley is a PhD student in the Department of Government (Political Theory). Originally from Marseille, France, she has been living in Tel Aviv, Israel, before arriving in the US. She holds a BA in Political Science and the History of the Middle East and Africa from Tel Aviv University, as well as a MA degree in Political Science from the same institution and Sciences-Po Paris. She loves reading and spending time with friends, and sometimes (only sometimes!) doing some outdoor sport. She also loves creating community ties where she lives, by volunteering and participating in local activities.

Her broad legal and policy interests include science, technology, and media. Her hobbies include making abstract impressionist art (exclusively pencil sketch), skateboarding, and playing The Strokes and Weezer on her electric guitar.

Ana Gabriela Ortiz Quezada President (2019), Past President (2020)
Ana is a PhD candidate in Food Science and Technology, and has been doing research in filtration technology for various beverage systems, from dairy to grape juice. She is passionate about food processing technologies and their application to create innovative food products. Prior to her work at Cornell, she received her BS in Food Engineering from Tec de Monterrey, Mexico; MS in Food Science and Technology from Texas A&M University; and MBA from the University of Monterrey, Mexico. Ana has previously worked in R&D in the dairy industry, which made her realize how important it is to empower women during their academic studies and at workplaces. Outside of Food Science, Ana enjoys spending time with her husband and child exploring Ithaca.

Her research is interested in exploring how human health is impacted by differences in gut microbiome composition between populations in different parts of the world. She is also a science artist, communicator, and AAAS IF/THEN Ambassador for girls and women in STEM. In her free time, Ana loves to dance, bake, read, watch tv, swim, travel, and, above all, eat ice cream.
